Envirohistory NZ is the third regular podcast on environmental history Besides Nature's Past and Exploring Environmental History. The podcast is hosted by Catherine Knight, author of the Envirohistory Blog, and is produced bi-monthly. The podcasts will discuss themes explored in articles on the blog and will also include interviews with people researching or “making” environmental history. This podcast series produced by the eminent American environmental historian Carolyn Merchant is not so much an episodic podcast but a series of lectures. These were part of an environmental history course entitled American Environmental and Cultural History that was taught in the autumn of 2006 at the University of California Berkely. The series expores the history of the American environment and the ways in which different cultural groups have perceived, used, managed, and conserved it from colonial times to the present.
